You Make Me Smile – out now

I wrote this song over ten years ago, and it’s been close to my heart ever since. I knew I wanted to get it right before letting it out into the world.

When my son was born, I realized he embodied everything this song was about – love, joy, wonder, curiosity, and that contagious energy only a child has. His smile fit the music perfectly, but I didn’t want to share his image online. So, I came up with the idea of viewing the video from his perspective, the POV of a toddler. I let him explore like he would always do. The video I got was more than I could hope for, his chats, his perspective, the excitement when he saw certain things and people was truly amazing. The song took on a whole new meaning through his eyes, and this version finally felt complete.

You Make Me Smile is about re-discovering joy – pure and simple. Something we can all do with these days.
